Plan Your Trip

A little preparation goes a long way in Yellowstone winter. Here's everything you need to know before your expedition — from what to wear to where to stay.

Getting Here

Fly into Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), just 45 minutes from our base in Jackson, Wyoming. We recommend arriving the day before your tour to acclimate and enjoy the town.

When to Visit

Our winter season runs December 15th through March 15th. January and February typically offer the best snow conditions and wildlife viewing. Book early — peak dates fill months in advance.

What to Wear

Temperatures range from 0°F to 30°F. Dress in layers — base layer, insulating mid-layer, and a windproof outer shell. We provide helmets and outer bibs for snowmobile tours. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen.

Reservations

Tours book up quickly, especially around holidays. We recommend reserving at least 30 days in advance. A 50% deposit secures your spot, with the balance due 14 days before your tour.
